The final instalment of the ‘Lost Evenings’ presented by Onefest and Frank Turner. 12th – 15th May with different support acts and different sets performed by Frank Turner and his band The Sleeping Souls. With a nice touch of having The Nick Alexander Stage (Nick was a well respected merch seller know on the circuit who lost his life during he Bataclan attacks) it was a wonderful atmosphere to be a part of.

Kicking off proceedings with ‘Get Better’ was the perfect opening with his full band backing him, the atmosphere was electric and the crowd were bouncing. Ripping through a greatest hits set including ‘Recovery’ and ‘The Way I Tend To Be’ (a personal favourite) and finishing the eleven strong set with ‘Journey Of The Magi’ from his 2009 album ‘Poetry Of The Deed’. Also throw in a crowd surf from Frank himself doing a lap of the crowd was a joy to behold.

He followed this with a six song encore solo to the delight of the packed sold out  Roundhouse. Concluding the encore with ‘Photosynthesis’ a massive hit of the 2008 album ‘Love Ire & Song’ it was an all round flawless set from the Wessex lad and I can’t stress how much you should go and watch him live. What a humble guy with a wonderful outlook on life and an untold bond between himself and the fans. Frank we applaud you.
